If you are in the Market for a printer you may have seen top dell laser printers, and others from large companies and thought already, or if you are like me, you began with walking down the aisle at an office supply store without knowing what exactly you want and will use it for. To take away some of the headache we have some popular printers from Dell, a company that you can trust to buy from and also in case you need to do any repairs, because printer maintenance must be handled by professionals. Best of all it’s the cheapest in the category too!

One printer that comes very highly recommended from PC World, a respected source for all computer related information, tells us the Dell Laser Printer 3000cn is top quality in all of the categories tested which go as far as to include weight of text on the page and how cleanly the printers handles the paper.

Documents are easy, the real measure of a printer is how well it can print photos in both color and black and white, because often times the values blend together or become static when trying to replicate a picture with a full range of grey from black to white. This happens most often with clothing in photographs.

The toner is not expensive either, as the black cartridge costs forty five dollars for about 4000 pages of black and white text while the color cartridges which print 2000 pages each run about sixty five dollars each. This is the same cost as Dells “Monochrome” printer which is the top of the line, and far more expensive model.

If you are not tech savvy, installation is a breeze and can be done with an Ethernet or USB cable connecting your PC, and the menus and controls make it look sleek and friendly. The only major drawback here is that it does not support use for Mac computers directly, but of course this does not mean that you cannot use it to print documents from a Mac, but just that you cannot hook the printer into the computer.

If you find memory becomes a problem, the 64mb standard can be upgraded to the 576MB of memory easily. The only major complaint is the paper instructions and CD-Rom provided to help with setup was a little difficult to read and use, although the printer itself is easy overall. Privacy settings and other bells and whistles can be gotten, but for a price tag of less than $500 PC World and myself are both sold on Dell Printers, particularly the 3000cn for how cost effective it is while still being effective and small, so it can work well in any office environment where space might be a concern too.

Using the computer toner ink can get pretty expensive, and I think everyone has thought about finding cheap dell toner cartridges for their computer if they use Dell, and the good news is that we have a list of tips to help you along when choosing where to get your toner from, because it will make a big difference.

First it should be mentioned that it is not wise to buy third party toners because even though they are slightly less expensive, they often are not fitted to work as well with the name brand printer. This is the case with Dell printer ink, and that is why we’ll talk about how to find quality name brand ink for less money than you would be forced into spending by buying toner from a store. Websites such as PCWorld have detailed information on how to choose the proper ink, and has a long list places to buy new ink from. The only pitfall with these is the possibilities of counterfeit ink which although is not common, does in fact happen. The best way to avoid the problem is to look at the feedback that is provided for the quality of their service.

When shopping for toner, your options boil down to different office supply store locations, and different internet sites where you are more likely to find a deal that will cost you less money. Stores are pretty strictly bound to their prices, and there is not much variance between major supply chains’ pricing, so shopping around on third party websites is often the way to go.

Still it is pretty much impossible to avoid paying a lot for name brand fees because this is where companies make their money, because they will charge less than cost for the machine itself, but make money on the toner that you must buy to keep using the printer. Name brand inks are also more expensive because they cost more to make and are of a higher quality than the super cheap inks that can be gotten from third party sellers.

Finding cheaper toner ink can be a difficult process when you are trying to only get a single name brand type, but when quality is the goal it is necessary to get the proper ink to use because the alternative may not work as well. Again it should also be noted that it is complex technology that is used in every cartridge. The price of printers dropping 60% contributes to the price reduction as well.

Do you have a Dell printer? Maybe this is your first time runner out of toner. No need to panic, replacing the cartridge is easy. Here is all you need to do to replace it if you are using a Dell product…

It is advised to read your Dell Owner’s Manual before changing your cartridge. You will know when it is time for a replacement when the operator panel alerts you with a message to order new. Prior to removing the empty toners, you should clear the center output and make sure the multipurpose feeder is closed. When you open the printer, the empty container will be easily recognized as it will pushed out. Grab ahold of the one sticking out and push up. Now just pull it out and you are ready to order a new one.

Check the printer type on your machine to make sure you order the right product. For example, I have a Dell 1110 laser printer. That means I will want to order the matching Dell 1110 toner. It is advised to stick with the same brand when order printing products. I order all my goods online. You can always find the best deals. Plus when I notice my level is runner low, I can just order a new one right then and there when I’m at the computer.

When ready to install the new cartridge, make sure you give it a shake so its content is evenly distributed. Next you line the arrows on the top of the container to the arrows on your printer. Put the new one right in the slot the old one was in. A “click” noise confirms it is in place and you can then close your printer. Your printer lid will not close completely if not installed correctly, so you will know if you did it right.

See, it isn’t as hard as you think to replace your Dell toner. Just find the kind you need, open up the printer, take the empty old toner out, order a new one, and put the full one back in! Ok I know that was a mouth full, but I think you get the point.
